My role in the Watershed Project at escondido creek was as a fourth grade team member to help teach younger kids about the watershed. I love children, teaching and the environment so this was a perfect fit for me in this role. Especially because I love art and I got to teach the kids about the watershed through my art in a childrens book about the watershed, through my illustrations. I also got to create the book by hand, bind it, buy all of materials for the book and put it all together. Once I finished hand drawing all 15 pages of illistrations I printed them all onto a professional paper. I decided to bind the book with ribbons and I am so proud of how it turned out and how all of my extremely hard work payed off. I struggled a lot during this project because I had a parnter that would not share the script with me or my other partner until two days before exhibition. But we just got to crazy work in those two days. She translated the whole script into spanish as well and I spent every minute of school time working on the book and all night up late both nights with my parents out buying materials and trying to get everything exhibtion ready. This knowledge now of the watersheds and expierence from this project has changed my everyday life for now on and my passion for helping the environment.
